24 hrs TWOV - how to apply if needed for Malaysian Passport holder

I m holding Malaysia passport, travelling from Melbourne to Seoul, stopover at Guangzhou for 22hrs. China Southern airline will provide me an accommodation and I would like to explore in the city.. Do I need to apply 24TWOV.? Just wondering how to apply before travel?
