About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hi, Europe - Beijing - Hongkong - Beijing - Europe

I'm an Italian citizien and have a flight ticket from Europe to Beijing and back. I will be staying for 32 days, but my visa only allows 30 days. Could I, not to use up my 30-day China entry permit, book another, separate ticket from Beijing to Hongkong and back? Say, flying out of Beijing the same day without leaving the airport?

You can either leave Mainland China for HK at the end of your 30-day period to a third country and re-enter on a 72/144-hour TWOV before going back to Europe, or enter on TWOV first, then go to HK, and then come back to activate yoir visa.
