What is an ARC?

Hi, this question must sound silly but I am not clear if the ARC is our national ID (from our home country)? Because I know I need it for applying for my X2 student visa. Thank you for your answers.

Hi, ARC card is the South Korea residence permit. If you are a South Korea citizen, you can apply for that without ARC card. Otherwise, you need an ARC to apply for a Chinese student x2 in South Korea.

Thanks Amarantha, do you know by any chance how do you apply for it and how long does it take to get it?

To apply for Chinese X2 from the CVASC in South Korea, first, prepare the relevant documents including your passport and its copy, the application form, a passport-style photo, ARC card (if you are not a South Korea citizen), admission letter from the school. Next, submit the application to the CAVSC. It usually takes four working days for the processing.
