This is my first visit to Ningbo coming Nov 18 and need advise:-

The fast train from Shanghai Hongqiao to NB takes 2-2.5h.

It’s a little cold with the temperature of 10-20C, and there are many cloudy days. You need to take shirts, jackets, and jeans.

3 days is good for the trip in the city, and places like Baoguo Temple, Tianyi Pavilion, Tianfeng Pagoda, and Dongqian Lake can’t be missed. As for old street, you can visit Nantang Old Street.

I once lived in Zhongshan Hotel in No. 100, Xiaowen St., Gulou St., Haishu Dis. It’s great and convenient and you can have a look! About 500m south of the hotel is a Sumanxiang Vegetarian Restaurant in No. 8 Gongyuan Rd.

To visit Putuoshan, you can arrange it yourself. Take a bus from South Bus Station to Shenjiamen, and then take bus 6 to Banshengdong Port to catch the ferry to Putuoshan (return the same way you come). For booking hotels there, you can use eLong!
