About:Bingling Temple

Hi Is it possible to make a trip to Bingling Caves when we leave Lanzhou early in the morning

And need to catch a train from LZ at 6pm? If not, what would you recommend as alternative for this one day in LZ?

You are not suggested to do so, since it may take 4-5h for a single trip. Instead, you can wonder around the downtown area, places like Zhongshan Bridge over Yellow River, Batashan Park and Province Museum are recommended.

Thank you! How about Maijishan Grottoes? Could we do it as a day trip and catch the train?

That’s doable, and you are suggested to take a bullet train from LZ West to Tianshui South and then catch tourist bus-maijishan line to the scenic area.

Thank you! We did the trip in one day: took a 8.05 fast speed train to Tianshui, transferred to a direct local bus to Maijisi (1 hour ride), strolled around and took a train back from Tianshui to Lanzhou 15.16 easily. It was a beautiful one day trip.
