About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do i need confirmation that a visa has been approved before departure to Guilin

I hold an irish passport, i'll be travelling from Dublin to Guilin via Hong Kong. Do i quality for the 72 hour free transit exemption policy.

Where are you going after Guilin? If you’re going back to Hong Kong then you need a visa in advance. If you’re going to a third country (not Hong Kong and not China) then you qualify for 72 hours free transit.
