About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

no visa

if I have a passport stamp from turkey in 2011, will I still be able to have the 24 hour free stay? I have a 12 hour layover in Shanghai and would like to tour the city.

Hi, in Shanghai, leaving the airport without a visa for a layover under 24 hours is at the immigration officer's discretion. Thus, I cannot guarantee that you can leave the airport to tour the city. Having a hotel reservation may help. You can have a try.
