About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Day Trip to China - TWOV

Hello,
We are US passport holders flying in to Hong Kong for two nights, staying at a hotel in Hong Kong. We arrive Hong Kong on the 8th and fly out of Hong Kong to the US on the 10th. Can we cross the border into China to Guandong City on a 24-hour direct transit? Not to exceed 24 hours in China?

You need a visa. You're not in transit and it's outside the Shenzhen VOA limit.
