is it possible to change flight schedule after entry?

Question

Due to emergency, we need to cut trip short and unable to fly to the third country. Can we book flight back to originating country after already entering with 144 hour free transit?

You'd better not do that. Immigration has power of placing a 5-year TWOV ban on you as they do know which country you are going to after your visit. If it's a real emergency, you should report to the local Entry and Exit Administration office for an exit visa.
