from hong kong to guangzhou's teem tower

Question

Coming from Hong Kong (and later via the new Express Rail Station in Kowloon due to open in September) I need to go frequently and speedily to Teem Tower at 208 Tianhe Road.  Is the nearest station East Railway Station, and if so how best to get from there to Teem Tower?  How much would a taxi cost? Also, anyone know quite WHY the travel times on the HS trains from Shenzhen to Guangzhou vary from 80 mins to as little as 29 mins?  It's normally 102 or 105km (?), but with the 29 min journey, it's only 21km!!  (Does the driver know a 'short cut'??)Thanks in advance....

For the new high speed rail in September, it should use the South Station instead of East Station. So you may choose to take metro line 7 to Han Xi Chang Long and then change to line 3 there and get off at Ti Yu Xi Lu, exit C. Teem Tower is around 500m away. By the metro, it should be around 40min, almost the same situation by taxi. If you take a taxi, it may cost around CNY80.The C types you mentioned between GZ and SZ would take around 80 or 90min and G types may take around 30min only. It is not a matter of distance but speed. G type is the fastest type which can reach a top speed of 300km/h, so 30min duration become possible.
