Hi, I will be flying from Singapore to Guangzhou with Scoot Airline

and then carry on with China Southern to Auckland. So I will not have any boarding pass for my CS flight when I get there. Luckily, I won't have any checked in luggage to worry about. Will five hours be enough for the transfer? Would I have to enter China and then go to the CS check in or can I get my boarding pass from the transit/ transfer desk? Thank you!

I believe 5 hours are pretty enough and generally two hours are enough. You only need to go through Inspection & Quarantine and then go to the transfer counter to complete the transfer procedure. After that, you can directly wait to board.
