About:China Customs Declaration

Taking an apple mac computer to china

A friend is moving to china for work and has asked if I could take his Apple Mac desctop computer over to him.
is that permitted considering it is staying the country and would I have to declare it at customs?

Don’t worry too much! It is allowed to enter CN. But your friend can only take one and have to make sure the computer within the value of CNY 5, 000(including CNY 5, 000) and for personal use. Or she or he must declare it to China Customs and pay for the tax.
