About:China Transit Visa

Transit Visa. Hi

I am Rahul, I will be travelling to Delhi, India from San Francisco, USA with my wife in November this year from China Eastern Airlines. We have a layover of 20 hrs in Shanghai and are planning to spend our time in Shanghai City. My wife holds USA passport and i have an Indian Passport, so do we need a transit G?

Shanghai has very strict rules on leaving the transit area when your layover is under 24 hours regardless of nationality. So if you want to make sure that you can leave the airport without hassles, you should apply for a visa. Your wife is eligible for a 10-year one.
