About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

A question in regards to A -> B (Shanghai) -> C Please

hi, my flights is from Brisbane (Australia) via Shanghai (the city where I'm going to stay for 5 days) to Rome (Italy). However, the flight from Brisbane (Australia) to Shanghai will stop over Bangkok for a couple of hours, does it breach only one STOP rule between A (Brisbane) to C (Rome)? In other words, can I still enjoy 144-hours free Transit in Shanghai? Thank you! Grace
