About:Dress Code in China

Are shorts, mid-thigh length, and knee length dresses okay to wear in Dali?

I'm going to Dali from June to July. I'm confused on what the temperature will be while I'm there but if I understand it will be warm most of the time and there will be a lot of rain. Is that true? And if so are shorts okay and knee- length dresses?

Shorts and knee- length dresses are OK in sunny days. You'd better also bring a pair of pants and coat for rainy days; also, they will be necessary if you will visit mountains or valleys.
