I suggest you avoid the big holidays like May Day Holiday, National Day Holiday, etc. if your tour date is flexible, because nowadays lots of Chinese people choose to going out for travelling during such holiday period so that it will be very crowded in the sightseeing spots and the traffic on the way is also very busy. In order to have a good travel experience, you may as well visit China before or after the holidays.0
