I am a US citizen visiting family in India. How do I apply for  entry permit while in India to go to China on a tourist L, 2 months from now?

First, prepare your passport and copy of its data page, the application form, a passport-style photo, valid visa or residence permit in there, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation. Next, submit the application to CVASC to apply for it.
