About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Traveling from LAX to Bali

Hello, my group is traveling from Los Angeles, California to Bali, Indonesia with a 12 hour layover in Shanghai. I was wondering if we would qualify for the 72 hour visa?

If so, where would we go to confirm that at the airport in China?

You qualify for the 24 hr direct transit in Shanghai. You need to inform the airline in advance that you want to use the free transit in Shanghai beforehand, and show the tickets and passports at the immigration counter upon arrival.
