About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Stay in Beijing for 74 hours

We are on a cruise and getting off in Hong Kong then we flight from Hong Kong and arriving in Beijing at 10:45 am on Friday. We are leaving Beijing on the following Monday at noontime back to th US. So technically it is almost 74 hours we are in China. In this case, do we need to get the visa or okay with the 72 hours transit. Please help us. Thanks.

The 72 hr free transit has been updated into 144 hr free transit in Beijing. So you can enjoy this new 144 hr free transit policy. No need to apply for a visa for that trip.
