Transit via Shanghai to Hong Kong both ways

My trip means I transit Shanghai en route to Hong Kong both ways.
Both same-day in-airport transits. I guess I am ok with the 72 hour visa-free transit both ways?

John, if you would travel like UK-Shanghai-HK, and HK-Shanghai-UK or another country or region instead of HK, you can enjoy free transit in Shanghai in both directions. No visa is needed. Nice trip.

Many thanks Neil. I kinda knew the answer but unfortunately the Embassies in the UK just hand out the phone number for Shanghai immigration so there was a nagging doubt. Thanks again
