what are the documents i have to provide to get chinese visa for travelling?

I need travel to China from India to China and I am studying here in India. Where I should apply and what are the documents needed if I have a Chinese friend holding Chinese citizenship inviting me. Thanks

You can make the application from the CVASC in India, and you should prepare your passport and copy of its data page, a completed application form, a recently-taken passport-style photo, residence permit in there, and the introduction letter from your friend.

What are the documents I have to provide to get Chinese visa for travelling?
