Beijin Transit

Hello, I’ll be traveling to Saigon next week with a 4 hour layover in Beijing both ways. I am an American citizen and I don‘’t plan to go nowhere. Do I need a visa if I am just doing a layover?

No. You can make use of 24 hr direct transit in Beijing, and no need to apply for a visa for that trip.
