About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

2 problems about free transit

1. I was denied entry on MUC-PEK-CKG-72 hrs-HKG. Reason: CKG does not belong to the 72 hrs group. Can you explain?
2. Does this routing work? HKG-PEK-CAN 72 hrs-BKK.

You were denied entry because you had two stops in China, and this immediately limits you to 24 hours transit without visa. Your second route won’t work either, for the same reason.

You have 2 stops in China so your transit time in China is limited to 24h.

Neither PEK - CKG nor PEK - CAN works for the 72h twov.

One stop is all you get for the 72 hour. You may need to find a different airline to avoid connecting in PEK. For example MUC to CKG, Finair is the only reasonably priced option that does not require a visa since its non-stop from Helsinki to CKG.
