Traveling to China. Hello, I am a student from the Philippines.

I am planning to visit China after 5 years. Is it possible to apply for a visa 2 years earlier than my planned visit?

Hi, as I know, one can make the application 3 months prior to his/her trip, and usually it is advised to apply one month prior to the trip. So you are not advised to apply for a it 2 years earlier than your visit.
