About:China Transit Visa

If my transit is for 40 hours in China and i want to go out, should i take transit or tourist visa

What is the difference between transit and tourist L ? What is the definition of transit ?

You can apply for either a transit G or a tourist L type for that 40 hours transit in mainland China. A transit G is issued to those who intend to transit through China, and a tourist L is issued to those who intend to go to China as a tourist.
