About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Xiamen Airlines fuel stop in TAO

Does Xiamen Air's fuel stop in TAO count as a stop in a city within the mainland? I'm flying LAX -XMN - BKK on said airline and want to overnight at a hotel in XMN.

Hi, I don't think it would be counted as a stop in a city. You can enjoy free transit for the trip LAX -XMN - BKK.

It certainly does count as a stop in a city. You are limited to 24 hours transit without visa.
