About:Visa Application for Children Born in US with Chinese Parents

ancestral chinese visa application process

I am a naturalized US citizen born in China (birthplace on US Passport) and the Certificate of Naturalization's "country of former nationality" is China. Am I eligible to apply for the new (February announced) 5 years Visa for prolonged stay in China. If yes, how do I apply? At present, I am not in the US, must I return to apply?
Please advise. Thank you very much.

Hi, you can try to apply for that from the Chinese embassy or consulate in your country as long as you can meet all requirements. But the result cannot be guaranteed. You are advised to call the embassy to confirm this before you do that.
