About:China Work Visa

How do I get a work permit while already in China on a student Visa?

I am a student in China, with two months left to graduate. I already have a BSc from several years back and related work experience.

I need to know how I should go about applying for a work permit, so that I can get it done without leaving the country, and before my student Visa expires. This is of course with the assumption that I have found a job.

What do I need from the school in order to begin the process? I’m a non-native speaker, and schools don’t help non-native speakers with the process.

Hi, you can try to change your X type into a work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, you don't need to leave China. After you get the work permit from your employer, you should prepare the relevant documents including your passport and its copy, the application form, a passport-style photo, valid registration form of temporary residence, and the work permit and others. Then, you can submit the application to the local PSB.
