About:China Visa

Can a French passport holder apply for a Chinese tourist visa while in Sri Lanka ?

Hi, I will be travelling in Sri Lanka in june and I am planning to go to China in July after as a tourist.
I will have an ETA (a Sri lanka tourist entry permit), is it therefore possible for me to apply for a Chinese visa directly from Sri Lanka? Is the ETA considered as a proof of legal stay ?
Thank you for your help.

Hi, augustin, I think your ETA can be considered as a proof of legal stay in Sri lanka, and you can use it to apply for a Chinese visa. You are advised to contact the China embassy to confirm this beforehand.
