About:China Family Reunion Visa

Q2 visa and employment visa

I am a US citizen and have a Q2 valid up to 2026. I am getting employment in China. If my employer get a Z or J type for me, will my Q2 be cancelled?

Yes. Because one can only hold one Chinese visa at a time. Once you get a Z or J type, the Q2 will be cancelled automatically.
