Application of passport as a student

I am a student, my programme is few years to start from this year apr. 2018. My passport will expire by December2018 and the. After going to the immigration they asked me to get a new passport before the expiration of my visa. so my question is when can i come to beijing to apply for a new passport before the time given to me.

Hi, if your passport has less than 6 months remaining validity, you can go to the embassy to renew your passport.

Hello, please what are the steps when one gets to Bejing. My passport expires on the 2nd July 2018. I am in Wuhan Hubei know. What is the first step I should take ?
