About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

staff travel from Beijing

hello, i am planning to travel to Beijing on the 29th to arrive on the 30th or April. if i book a ticket that goes from Beijing with a 5 hr stop over in Shenzhen, does that qualify for the 72 hour free transit? also if i have a standby ticket that goes to Hong Kongthe 3rd of May, would that also be eligible for the 72 hour transit.

This won't work for several reasons. (1) Standby is not allowed. You must have a confirmed ticket. (2) 72 and 144 hours transit without visa only allows transit in one city. (3) Transit without visa is not allowed in Shenzhen.
