hello. to apply for for hongkong transit visa

Hello. I have a student visa in china,  Can u please tell me, to apply for for hongkong transit visa, i will have to go to Beijing by myself ?  or can i apply online, by Fax etc?

You should first prepare copy of passport, the application form, a passport-style photo, transportation and accommodation arrangement, and your travel plan for Australia. Next, submit the application to the embassy of China to apply for HK transit visa. Then, you can post the application to HK immigration department directly, and no need to go to Beijing for that.
