Still confused need help, if i get a 72 hours transit can i go out to is house and am i eligible?

Hi! Im Going to Japan and im from Canada, i have to transit in Beijing and i have a layover of 19 hours, a friend of the family propose me to stay at is place in Beijing. Im still cojfuse with the info thanks
