About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Passport damaged

Hi,

I applied for a new passport from South Africa as the old one is damaged.. When I get the new one, my school said that I have to pay for the residency permit and visa costs... They will however extend my visa.. I just have to pay for getting my new passport stamped with the visa and the residency permit.

Do you know how much this would cost? And would I have to leave the country and come back...

Hi, if your school will help you extend the residency permit and visa from mainland China, you can go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to inquire the costs. If it can be done, you don't need to leave the country then.
