About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi, Do I need a visa?

We’ve recently booked a trip from the uk for 3 days in Singapore then 3 days in Hong Kong then on to Tokyo for 4 days then Shanghai for 3 and then back home to the uk. Do we need a visa for any of this as I’m finding it hard to get the answer as there are conflicting reports

Hi, you are able to enjoy 144 hr free transit in Shanghai, and no Chinese visa is needed for the trip.

Hello, where can I read the official rules about 144 hour visa free? Is there information published by the Chinese authorities anywhere on the web?

Maybe you can check the information from Timatic, an IATA database which airlines use.
