Visa application. Kindly advise what kinds of visa he would apply for.

My friend is born in China and retain British nationality. He is living in HKG with his parents since 2012. He is unemployed at the moment. He intends to go to China for sightseeing, visiting friends and relatives and stay there for 2 months before go back to UK for further study.
