About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Heathrow - Shanghai - Heathrow

Hello, if I fly from London Heathrow Airport to Shanghai and then back again to London Heathrow airport, does this mean that I can use the 144 hour visa?

Or do I have to fly to a different country for my return? E.g.. if I return to Paris, France? Thank you

You absolutely need a visa for London-Shanghai-London, because you're not in transit to a third country.
