About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Flight to Hong Kong with a different Carrier?

I am a Canadian citizen attending a conference in Hong Kong on June 3-6. I will be flying home to Canada on the 6th from Hong Kong. If I fly into Beijing (Arriving at 230pm on May 31st) first, with a flight booked from Beijing to Hong Kong on the morning 3rd of June will that qualify me to use the 72hr visa-free transit?

Beijing no longer has 72-hour transit and only the 144-hour transit applies, so you should be good (assuming Beijing is your only stop in Mainland China and your inbound flight does not stop in HK).
