Flight from Moscow via bejing to Phuket

my wife and me are flying to Phuket from Moscow via Beijing. Im holder of German passport my wife is Ukrainian passport holder.

We have stopover in Bejing around 9 hours and wanted to go out of airport during this time. Is it possible without Visa to leave transit area of Airport?
