About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

My friend he make overstay for over 7month he want to go back his country he want pay finalty

But don’t want put him in the camp to stay 5 or 15 days or more he just want to pay to leave china. please how to do ?

He is advised to report his situation to the local police station, and then pay the fine CNY500 per day; the capped amount won’t exceed CNY10,000 and accept other penalty. It's hard to say if he would be put in the camp.
