About:China Transit Visa

Going to Phuket but stopping in Shanghai

I am traveling to pochette however I will be in shanghai for 19 hours would like to take a small trip and get back to the airport to connect to my flight. Do I need the 24 hour? Can I get that at the airport once I land?

Hi, you can enjoy 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai, and no visa is needed. If you can show their hotel booking confirmations, you would be able to leave the airport. Otherwise, you cannot.
