About:Shanghai 15-day Visa-free Policy for Cruise Tour Groups

We fly into Shanghai and stay two nights and join a cruise to Beijing, Korea, and Japan.

Is the 144 hour free Visa satisfactory?

Everything I read says enter on a cruise and leave on the cruise for the 15 day free visa.

But We fly from the USA and stay 2 nights in Shanghai. Then we join the cruise and make stops in Beijing Korea and Japan.
Does this qualify for the 15 day free visa?
Can you send me a quote from a China embassy that stated that?

Oh, I’m sorry I misunderstood the policy before. In that case, you need to apply for a visa in advance.
