what is the minimum time period required to apply for extension at entery exist berue?

Like my visa will expire on 10 September  2018, can I apply on 5 September 2018 for extension at entery exist department? What are the minimum days they required to apply for extension.

Usually, it needs 7 days for the processing, so you should do it 7 days prior to its expiry date. If the visa will expire on 10 September 2018, you should do that before 3 September 2018.
