accommodation inside guangzhou airport

Question

My husband and I are booked on China Southern flight KUL - CAN on 25 May 2018 arriving at 5.35pm.   We need to wait 18 hours for our connecting flight CAN - SFO  at 11.45 am on 26 May 2018.  I would like to know if there is any transit hotels inside the airport and how I can book a room for the night.  If there is none and if I need to book a room away from the airport, do I need to apply for a visa. Please help.

Hourly lounges are available in the airport and they are on -1F of the terminal building, near the subway station. Besides, the Pullman Hotel is right at the opposite of the terminal building. It is also a good alternative, but lies outside the airport.
