About:China Visa Exemption

CHinese Visa for NCL Cruise Passengers

We are all US Citizens and flying to Shanghai arriving on April, 15 at 4 PM. We are taking a NCL Cruise next day, April 16 less than 24 hours. But our first stop is Beijing for a day and then to Japan. Do we need entry permit?
Less tahn24 hours in Shanghai and one day stop in Beijing next day.

Yes, you need to apply for a regular visa before the trip.
