You can track your visa?

Hey my parents are going to China and they are worried a out applying! I see that if they are applying in person that it should only take 4 days? Unless there is a problem I suppose! And there is a way they can check online and track their visas progress? How do they do this? Or will my dad have this information? He has filled out the form online and he has an appointment at the Embassy, but it isn't until the 19th of March. I guess this is because they don't travel until the 23rs of April. My parents are worried as they wanted to get it sorted sooner! Any advice will be great!thanks :)
