U.S citizen first visit outside Hong Kong

I've been to HK 2 times before. Do I need a visa to go to Macau and Shenzhen? Can I obtain a quick visa from HK?

You do not need visa to Macau, but you should apply one to enter Shenzhen. The rush service of Visa application in HK may take 2-3 days, so it is best that you make it on your own country beforehand.
