About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Maximum numbers of day stay in China

Hi. If I apply for 1 year multiple entry tourist visa to Shanghai only, does that means the maximum number of day stay in Shanghai per entry would be 30 days?

Peter, if the DURATION OF EACH STAY on your visa is 30, you can stay in China for 30 days after each entry at most.

Dear James, do you know if there is a possibility that the government will grant more than 30 days per stay or if 30 days per stay is the maximum that China Embassy will grant, regardless of the type of visa I apply for?

As I know, usually, the duration of stay is 30 days. Sometimes, you may be given 60 days or 90 days, but it is not easy. You can tell them the truth that how many days you want and explain the reason to them, and the consular officers will give you proper duration of stay based on your travel itinerary.
