what are the fatest options transportation going to chiayi city then alishan?

Hi  there, will be traveling this coming March 3, 2018 in Taiwan. Our arrival time is 1:30 am at Taoyuan Airport. What are the options fastest transportation going to Chaiyi City then Alishan?How much the fare and schedule time of buses and train going there? Please advice. Thanks.

Take bus 1627 to Chiayi city and then take a train to Alishan from Chiayi Railway Sttaion.Not sure about the fare of the bus, and the train takes about 2.5h, 234NTD or so. The bus is available from 00:00 to 4:00 with an interval of 1h, from 4:00 to 23:30 with an interval of 30mins. The train departs at 6:05, 8:05, 8:35, 9:05, 9:35, 10:05, 11:05, 12:05 and 14:05.
